Security Programs

Security Programs provides strategic management and tactical execution of the following programs: Personnel Security, Human Reliability Program, Information Security, Nuclear Material Control and Accountability, Foreign National Access Program, Physical Security Systems, and Incidents of Security Concern. The integration of this department provides for a holistic mechanism for programmatic links to the Security and Emergency Services directorate and the overall mission at the NNSS.

Security Programs ensures risks to personnel, property, and classified and sensitive information and materials, including special nuclear materials, are adequately managed and protected.

This is accomplished by:

• Ensuring appropriate levels of security protection
• Effective planning and prudent application of resource
• Ensuring personnel receive security training appropriate for their roles
