Veteran’s Employee Resource Group

Mission

To support MSTS’ leadership goals to increase veteran recruitment, retention, camaraderie/morale and community involvement through networking, development, and meaningful activities. Another aspect of the mission is to help those veterans who are new to MSTS understand the culture, differences, and challenges of working at the NNSS in comparison to the military and former companies they may have worked at.

Purpose

To create a welcoming culture of caring for veterans throughout their MSTS career cycle by:

  1. Increasing morale and retention by engaging veteran employees and providing support, networking, and career mentoring opportunities.
  2. Fostering a supportive environment and forum to learn about the different career paths within the enterprise, whereby employees with a military background can contribute and thrive.
  3. Working with MSTS Human Resources and networking with community Veteran Organizations to increase recruitment and retention.
  4. Charting a path for sharing military best practices and potential business improvements with the leadership at MSTS.
