Las Vegas Science & Technology Festival | Giant Expo Sponsor
More than 9,000 members of the Southern Nevada community flocked to the World Market Center Saturday, May 4, featuring hands-on NNSS demonstrations, featuring infrared imaging, laser beams, high-speed cameras, electromagnets, Fire & Rescue robotics and 1950s Seagrave fire engine, a gas gun, fiber optics and more.

Project 150 | Scholarship Partner
The NNSS provided $5,000 in scholarship and $1,000 in gift card funding for 96 Project 150 scholarship program recipients. Project 150 provides resources to homeless, displaced and disadvantaged Southern Nevada students and empowers them to pursue higher education.

Las Vegas Science & Technology Festival | Science in Schools
NNSS science and technology leaders presented STEM activities in elementary schools across the Las Vegas valley as part of the Science in Schools initiative to engage the community’s youth.

STEM Saturdays
The NNSS wrapped its ever-popular STEM Saturdays series in April with a spotlight on industrial hygienists’ work to protect employees from health hazards. Presented by the NNSS, Clark County School District Career and Technical Education, and the Atomic Museum, STEM Saturdays feature presentations by NNSS subject matter experts who facilitate the connections between STEM and their chosen career path. Nearly 600 members of the community registered this season. Look for the return of STEM Saturdays this fall!

National Rebuilding Day and Month
As proud partner of Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada, which revitalizes the homes of veterans, seniors and individuals with disabilities by providing repairs at no cost to the homeowners, more than four dozen NNSS volunteers assembled in a Henderson, Nevada, neighborhood to provide critical renovations for a couple in need.

From the College of Southern Nevada’s Empowering Women in Tech to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Science Day events, NNSS employees volunteered their times in classrooms to impart their best practices for a successful STEM career path.
